Program Overview - How It 'Works'
Our training is human and relaxed - but also rigorous (you’re being thoroughly trained and certified 3 ways: as a life, spiritual and energetic coach in 3 months!). Artist is held over thirteen Tuesday sessions at 7 pm central each week, and all calls are recorded if you miss one. When there is need to accommodate international students, we hold an additional class during the morning.
Since you are unique, we expect you to immerse yourself in your own inner work, experimenting with the practices and tools to find your own truths, and so you know how the tools work and what works best for you. Through your direct experience, you are then skilled to lead clients to do the same.
Because Artist focuses on our coaches learning to open to their higher, inner wisdom and intuition - while we do give you forms, formats, outlines and practices on how to hold coaching sessions - what we don't do is give you a static formula on 'how to be a life coach'.
While we understand that steps to attain an outcome are needed (and provided), we also believe that coaching sessions are primarily 'client driven' and are therefore unique and organic - unless you're in a niche that requires more structure. In all cases, we support you to develop your own style, and we also know that your intuition, inner guidance or 'gut feelings' are also unique - and far more insightful than any formula could possibly be!
We believe in creativity, experimentation, inner guidance and heart - and that when you learn to embrace these in yourself - there is nothing you cannot accomplish!
Each week of training involves a live, two hour teaching class with Diana Adkins that is supported by additional written material and videos. All classes are held by phone (so you can access them from anywhere) and they are recorded for listening if you have to miss one, or want to hear it again. Learning by phone is helpful since most of your clients will meet with you by phone!
How The Teaching Classes Work and Time Commitments:
While each class will cover the written material, they also expand on the topics and introduce various nuances that arise when actually coaching – so take notes! There are numerous opportunities for questions during each class, as well as break-out groups for you to discuss the lessons and your experiences during practice. Small breakout groups are a wonderful way to connect with your fellow students, sharing and supporting each other along the way.
A complete workbook (in .pdf format you can download) will be given to you at the end of the training – but since we want you to focus on each week's class, we make the material available weekly so that you aren’t distracted by the all too human tendency to “jump ahead’.
The time commitment will vary a little, week by week, since you may already have experience in some areas, and yet none in others. You can expect to spend 3-4 hours a week in the first month, and then between 5-7 hours a week the last two months on this training, depending on your current skills and your level of commitment to practicing the new skills and tools you will learn. There are also 2-3+ private coaching calls with our trainer to get to know you and support you in your growth!
1st month = 2 hour class + 1-1 1/2 hrs. reading material and doing practices
2 & 3rd months = 2 hour class + 1-3 hrs. reading, practices & tools, 2 hrs. coaching/being coached
I found that both Diana and Heatherash to be superb in their teaching. They both had an excellent way of explaining the course material. Diana was especially helpful with being available when I had specific questions and needed extra time to complete the course assignments. She also helped me see thru my own BS and get to the root and the cause of my own problem.
Whether one pursues a coaching career or not, the info in this course will be valuable to any student of a spiritual path. Terrific instruction perfectly given.
Wow! All the tools taught are invaluable. The most valuable part was rolling up my sleeves and diving into the practices for myself. We were so encouraged to do our own work in order to best serve our clients from our lived experience, rather than intellectual knowledge. Wisdom is lived experience!
